Terms

What you can expect from GayStash and what it expects from you. Written to be read: every clause has a one-line version.

1What GayStash is

An index of 163,661 links to adult material hosted on other sites. We store URLs, titles, tags and who added them. We do not host, stream, sell or transcode any depiction, and pressing play loads from the source site, not from us.

In short: a catalogue of other people's links. Nothing here is hosted here.

2Age

You must be 18 or over, or the age of majority where you are, whichever is higher. Everyone depicted in anything you submit must be 18 or over. There is no version of this rule with an exception in it.

In short: 18+ to use it. 18+ in everything you submit.

3Your account

Reading needs no account. Stashing, collecting, following and commenting do. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to it secure. One person, one account; do not sell or transfer it.

Your username is public. Your email address, and your Google account if you signed in that way, are not, and are never displayed.

In short: read freely. To contribute you need an account, and only your username is public.

4What you may stash

Links to adult material featuring men, on sites that permit linking. Tag it accurately. This is a search tool and a mistagged link is worse than a missing one. If a host you submit shows popunders or interstitials, say so; we mark it and you should not try to hide it.

In short: real links, honest tags, honest about the host's ads.

5What you may not stash

  • Anyone under 18, or material presented as though someone is.
  • Anyone who has not agreed to be filmed or published, including hidden-camera, leaked, hacked or revenge material.
  • Material you know to be infringing.
  • Real names, addresses, workplaces or contact details of anyone depicted.
  • Bestiality, non-consensual violence, or anything unlawful where we or you are.
  • Malware, redirect chains, phishing, or links that exist to farm ad impressions rather than to show the thing described.

In short: no minors, no one who did not consent, no doxxing, no malware, nothing unlawful.

6What you give us, and what you keep

You keep whatever rights you had. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and index what you submit (the title, tags, description and thumbnail) so the archive works. That is the whole of it: we do not licence your submissions onward and we do not sell them.

Titles, tags and descriptions you write are contributions to a shared catalogue. If you delete your account they stay, attributed to a deleted account, because other people's collections point at them. That is stated on the deletion screen before you confirm.

In short: we get to show and index what you add. Your records survive your account, because other people rely on them.

7Moderation and removal

Anyone can report a record, and reports are read by a person. Reports about age or consent are handled ahead of everything else.

We may remove any record, community or account without notice where there is a credible age or consent concern, and we do not wait for certainty on those two.

In short: reports are read by a person. Age and consent concerns are acted on first.

8Ads and other sites

We run one ad on record pages, and it opens a new tab. It runs for signed-out readers only, at most a few times an hour, and never on the index, tag or search pages. Signing in turns it off. It is what pays for the archive.

The sites we link to are not ours: their ads, trackers, terms and content are their business, and following a link takes you out of our reach entirely. Where a host is known for popunders we mark it ADS on the record before you click.

In short: one tab-opening ad on record pages, signed-out only. Other sites' ads are theirs, and we mark the hosts known for them.

9Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, that repeatedly draws upheld copyright notices, or that we are required to act on by law.

In short: leave whenever. We can remove accounts that break the rules.

10Liability

The archive is provided as it is. Links rot, most entries here have never been re-checked, and a host can remove anything at any time. We do not warrant that a link works, that a destination is safe, or that what you find there is what the title says.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the greater of what you have paid us, which is nothing, or the minimum the law requires.

In short: links break and destinations are not ours. Use judgement.

11Changes

We will change these terms occasionally. The version on this page is always the current one.

In short: this page is the current terms.
