This version was edited with many scenes, dialog, and some music removed to satisfy the Chinese Communist Party censors in order to allow its airing in mainland China.. Chinese BL movie from a very progressive Taiwan, "About Youth" set in Taiwan, starring two straight school boys who attend an elite school, albeit from different walks of life, developing a friendship and subsequent crush on each other. The school's most popular boy, who is under a lot of pressure from his parents, who are never home to show him love him or care for him. His parents are always away on business and are just interested in his grade and accomplishments and nothing more. Mr. popular is comforted by a shy and quiet boy who shows him how to enjoy life instead of studying and pleasing hes parents all the time. They shy boy always had a crush on Mr. popular and his dream came true. Subtitled in English. Beautifully done gay youth drama.
